Description

The pad 3M is a metallic counterpart for silwy® magnetic hooks and pins. We especially recommend combining the SPOT hook with the 3M metal pad. The hook can be loaded with up to 4 kg in this combination. This is due to the high metal content inside the pad.
The force ratio between the magnetic fastenings and the metal pad is perfectly balanced so that the hooks and pins are fixed by the metal pad but can also be easily removed from the pad .

The metal pad is permanently attached using 3M adhesive tape. Please follow the installation instructions on the product page.

How to fit the 3M pad

First, clean the desired area with a degreasing agent such as spirit.

There is 3M adhesive tape on the back of the metal pad. Remove the protective film from the pad.

Firmly press on the 3M metal pad before first use

Press the pad firmly and wait about 60 minutes before using it.

Frequently asked questions

How do the pads/mats/placemats differ from the 3M metal pads?

The pads/mats/placemats are coated with a nano-gel layer and can therefore be removed, washed off and reused without leaving any residue.
The 3M metal pads are attached with 3M adhesive tape and are therefore permanent and cannot be removed without leaving a residue.

Due to the higher proportion of metal in the 3M metal pads, the tractive force is considerably stronger.
The 3M metal pads are suitable for hooks and pins. If you want to store your magnetic glasses upside down, you absolutely need the metal strip!

What do I have to consider when attaching my 3M metal pad?

The surface should be smooth and cleaned with spirit beforehand. Then remove the 3M adhesive tape from the pad and mount it in the desired position.

What should I bear in mind with the 3M metal pad?

The pads should be stored dry and protected from the sun.

To which surfaces do the 3M metal pads adhere?

The pads adhere to all surfaces that are smooth / sealed / even. Teak tables should be avoided. Oiled and uneven surfaces are also not recommended.

Can the 3M pads be removed without leaving any residue?

As the 3M metal pads are attached with a double-sided 3M adhesive tape, we cannot guarantee residue-free removal.
Therefore, think about where you would like to place your 3M pad in advance.
