To begin with, it is best to get a brief overview of the numerous serving trays that are now available on the market. Whether you are looking for a large serving tray or a small serving tray - there are numerous shapes, colors and of course materials available. The classic is certainly the wooden serving tray. It is robust, easy to clean and, depending on the workmanship, usually looks good too. Small disadvantage: you have to look after it regularly. Especially if a few drops are spilled on it now and then or you wipe it with water, the wood suffers over time. Then you need to re-oil it. This is done quickly, but you should still know beforehand that this issue will accompany you with wooden serving trays. Things are a little different with a plastic serving tray or a stainless steel tray. Here the maintenance effort is zero. You only have to wipe these trays with a damp cloth every now and then and then they are ready for use again.

The right serving tray for every application

With these common serving trays, especially the stainless steel models, you are well equipped for both the kitchen and the catering industry. On a serving tray with a handle, you can carry food comfortably over long distances, for example from the kitchen to your barbecue party in the garden.

You can also present the food stylishly on a serving tray made of solid wood, as a small snack platter for your guests. A large serving tray is of course an advantage so that you don't have to walk too often. But lots of smaller trays are also very useful, for example if you can spread them out nicely on a long table so that everyone has a few treats right in front of them. The silwy system behind our serving tray and all other silwy products is based on a simple principle: A magnet integrated into the glass finds its counterpart in the silwy serving tray in the form of a metal layer that is also integrated. The magnet and the metal counterpart of the tray are perfectly balanced in terms of strength. This means you don't have to worry about having to use a lot of force to remove the glass from the tray. When you remove the glass from the serving tray again, there is no jolting and nothing is spilled. It is very easy and simple, so you won't notice the difference to "normal" glasses. There is no noticeable difference between the serving tray and a "normal" tray either. The integrated metal layer is so thin that the tray is definitely not heavier. While glasses and the like wobble around on other serving trays, you can transport everything safely. Perfect!
