How the magnetic system works
In addition to magnetic dishes and glasses, we offer numerous other magnetic accessories and practical wall mountings without drilling or screwing.
The magnetic range
To use the system, you need magnetic dishes or other smart magnetic accessories from silwy®. A perfectly cast magnet is integrated into the base of our products, which, together with a metallic counterpole, ensures a secure hold - even while driving.
Thanks to the integrated magnet, you don't have to worry about rust when washing dishes.

Of course, in addition to the magnetic product, you also need a metal counterpole that securely fixes the silwy® dishes or silwy® accessories. There are different versions of the metal accessories depending on the product and intended use.
Basically, you have the option of storing your silwy® equipment upright or overhead to save space.

Tips and Tricks for Boat Owners
Storing glasses upside down
Not enough space is probably an issue for almost everyone before setting off on a trip. With the silwy® magnet system, you can use the space super efficiently . For example, you can store your magnetic glasses upside down using the metal bar, even in places where glasses don't normally belong.

Everyone loves coffee, tea or a cool drink now and then. With the magnetic cups you also get a great to-go cup on board. The metal nano gel pad securely holds the cup in place at the front and your favorite drink is always within reach . The pad can be removed without leaving any residue.
Stack to save space
The magnet in the base holds the dishes together - nothing rattles, nothing clinks during the journey. The space is therefore well used . To ensure that the dishes are also secured at the bottom, we recommend the metal nano gel mat. This can be cut to size and removed again.

Retrofitting existing glasses
If you already have a complete set of glasses, plates or bowls, you can upgrade your dishes with the silwy® magnet system in no time at all. We have developed special adapters for this that fit all conventional glasses. There are also adapters for plates, pots, etc.
Fastenings without drilling
You can never have enough hooks or attachment options. Whether for a wet beach towel, jacket or backpack - the options are always limited. That's why the hooks and pins, which can be removed without leaving any residue, are highly recommended. The pads mean that they can be used wherever you need them.

Do the magnetic glasses hold even in high waves or rough seas?
Yes! The force ratio between the magnetic glass and the metal nano gel pad is perfectly balanced so that the glass is fixed strongly enough by the pad.
Can I use the metal nano gel pads multiple times?
Yes, the pads can be removed without leaving any residue and can be repositioned as often as you like. From time to time, the pad must be cleaned under clear water so that the full adhesive power is reactivated.
Does this also work on wooden tables or other surfaces?
Yes, the metal nano gel pads stick to any smooth surface. After use, you can remove the pad without leaving any residue and use it elsewhere.
How do I clean the metal nano gel pads?
The pads should simply be cleaned with clean water. Please do not use soap or detergent - clean water is sufficient.
What do I need to use the system?
You need our magnetic dishes and a corresponding metal counterpart. If you choose our magnetic crystal wine glasses, for example, you will receive two magnetic glasses including two metal nano gel pads. When you buy glasses, cups, etc., the pads are always included - one glass -> one pad, two glasses -> two pads and so on. :)
Optionally, you can use our adapter solutions if you have already purchased a harness but still want to use our magnet system.
Are there also magnetic solutions for existing glasses?
Yes, not only for glasses but also for plates, bowls and pots.

TIP: Use a different adapter color for each family member / friend - this way you can see at a glance who owns which glass!
I don't want real glass on my boat - are there alternatives?
Yes, in addition to crystal glass, we of course also have shatter-proof high-tech plastic.
Does magnetism affect the compass on board?
A legitimate question – but we can give you the all-clear. So, no need to worry: just keep a distance of about 50 cm from the compass – that's more than enough!
